with a few of the new stuff flying around , i ve began to wonder which new units etc are worth taking.
So out of all the new units that have been added which are good and which are bad? Are any of the special characters worth it? -------------------- |

In short people wont take mini guns anymore rat ogres still aint all that, warlords can now dish out some pain, furance every band wagon player will take, Abom more band wagon, Stormvermin still too expensive compared to Monks, Doom wheel is funky so are the new weapons teams.

censers now hit like a freight train, having gained an attack, dropped a point and moved to special.

Furnace's are not just for band wagoners, I know many tried and true skaven players taking them. I think the Abomb is more a band wagoner unit. Heck, I bet you will see either one or the other in 90% of the lists people make from here on out.

got my book yesterday and instantly played a game, the thing that stuck out most for me is that the abombs are made of win 1 took out my friends 2 bone giants and 4/6 chariots before it died and spwnd 2 rat swarms (it was chaged by the chariots and the giants), i will never not have 1 now, magic is really good 2 i love the 13th spell that i actually managed to get off and turn a unit of 15 archers into clanrats XD

I would have to disagree. I saw a BG at a GT do 23 wounds to a unit of dwarf warriors. |

it looks like censors are good. rat ogres are good especially with the upgrade to skweel.

23 wounds... i bet the dwarf on the end of that was grumbling a bit... that defies belief.

ratboy1018 - Skweel is much better in a large giant rat unit as they will benifit more with how cheap they are, meaning more ranks, and there new abilities. A unit of giant rats with 25 Giant rats with 4 pack masters and skwell will pump out alot more attacks and damage than the rat ogres will for a cheaper price and no frenzy baiting.

ok maybe BG doesn't suck on it's own just has hard choices to make against the other rares and it's cost and i think it's rare it does much (usually just crumbles), but in my tk army i'd much rather my catapults which routinly cause whole units to break from fear and has cause chain reactions of units causing others to flee off the board on the first turn in 3 games now causing the enemy to concede.
Anyway this is a skaven forums! |

i still can't deal with all the T test you have to take with the plague furnace. i wont be useing it.
HPA looks solid, the doomwheels a little TOO wacky for my tastes, but i love the new wapons teams. poisond wind mortar and doomflayer FTW! -------------------- |
