Result: Win Game Size: 2500pts Opponent's Army: Lizardmen Special Circumstances: Watchtower Scenario 50-100 Word Summary: I started with the watchtower, but only a slave unit was small enough to take it! They got wiped out quickly and the Lizzies took the tower. My army started poorly, not helped by some bad rolls and a couple of bad choices on my part, namely assassin and engineer placement. However around turn 4 the numbers started to tell as the clanrats and doomwheel hit home. A warlock engineer also managed to cracks call the Slaan after he failed his look out sir roll Cheers, Dave -------------------- |

Result: Draw (I won by 81 vps) Game Size: 3000 Opponents Army: Empire Special circumstances: Meeting Engagment ('Ard Boyz practice) We both only had a cannon roll to start off the board. He won the roll and deployed first. I siezed and went first. I had an HPA on each flank. One was chased off board on Turn one. The other ate and entire flank includding a unit of swordsman, a cannon, a master engineer and most of a unit of handgunners, while tieing up a rocket battery in combat. Because of the new VP rules I had so few things totally destroyed or fled off board that my oppt couldnt win. Looks like points denial may still be an effective means of not losing in 8th. -------------------- |

Scenario: Watchtower Result: Win (I controlled the Watchtower at game end) Game Size: 2500 Opponents Army: Dwarfs I won the roll to occupy the tower, but he went first. My only unit small enough to start in the tower was a 20 slave block. It actually fought off a Dragonslayer in two consecutive turns before moving out to allow my Warlord/warlitter and STV to garrison. Moved everything up as quickly as possible and my CR+spr/sh horde fought Ironbreakers to a stand still. I cast Death Frenzy on them to make 42 attacks first turn. Wither on the ironbreakers helped too. Mortars(x2) and WFT(x2) created huge gaps in their lines and he had nothing strong enough to force me out of the tower at the end. -------------------- 8th ed. 3/1/0

Result: Massacre Victory Game Size: 2 000p. Opponent's Army: Vampire Counts Special Circumstances: 7th edition 50-100 Word Summary: In this game Skorch really proved to be the game winner, killing moren than half of each skeleton unit it hit, and doom rocket finished the most dangerous one of them off, leavung only vampires standing. Plague Priest duelled and killed a vampire (!) and I pretty much wiped out all but the knight unit at the turn 3. the knights had 2 vampireswithin so it took few rounds to battle them, but my Stormies and clannies got support from PCB's and succeeded to kill the last vampire standing at turn 5. -ST -------------------- War for the Lost Pyramid-Campaign
Kislev In Ruins -Campaign My TK has 2/2/1 (+2 Pause-Rounds) (w/d/l) in campaign. |

Result: Major Win Game Size: 3000 pts Opponent's Army: Orcs and Gobbos Special Circumstances: Battle at Dawn (8th ed. scenario at 'Ard Boyz) 50-100 Word Summary: First round 2010 'Ard Boyz. We set up semi-randomly per scenario rules. The terrain was set by the tournament staff and we could not move it for this scenario. The terrain offered several choke points that limited forming a consistent line across the table. I went first and made it to the choke points first, setting up possible flanking attacks if he moved through. But, he decided not to and just sat there. I had more shooting with 2x PWM's, 2x WFT's, and slowly pulled ahead on points. I tried to break through with Squeel and a 7x7+7pm GR unit into his trolls but was rebuffed. He had similar results against my SVM. So it finally ended and I won 500:200, which according to the scenario rules was a massacre (more than 2x opponents points), but they only gave me a major win because my total was below 1000. I'll take it. 19-3 -------------------- 8th ed. 3/1/0

Result: Massacre Loss Game Size: 3000 pts Opponent's Army: Dwarfs Special Circumstances: Battleline (8th ed. scenario at 'Ard Boyz) 50-100 Word Summary: Second round 2010 'Ard Boyz. Normal setup per scenario rules. The terrain was set by according to GW diagram for this scenario. My opponent had a gun line with 2x cannons, 2x bolt throwers, 2x organ guns, 1 grudge thrower, and an anvil. I went first and enjoyed the Storm Banner for 1 turn! That was actually enough tiem to get into combat with most of my units. I broke his warrior horde and ran it down. He took out the DW with shooting. It was pretty close until the bottom of turn 4, when he broke my plague monks+PP-PF. The point swing led to a massacre loss, but I had a few scenario points. [2-20] Frustrations from: 1) He had more dispel dice than my casting every turn. 2)Somehow his view of LOS was everthing, terrain = invisible. -------------------- 8th ed. 3/1/0

Result: Minor Win Game Size: 3000 pts Opponent's Army: Orcs and Gobbos Special Circumstances: Meeting Engagement (8th ed. scenario at 'Ard Boyz) 50-100 Word Summary: 3rd round 2010 'Ard Boyz. We set up semi-randomly per scenario rules. The terrain was set up according to the GW diagram for this scenario. I set up first and went first. WE both had refused left flanks with strong right flanks. He had no warmachines and only gobbo archers to shoot with. Our magic was about equal, but my results were worse for him. I surged forward so recieve his charges, bringin on reinforcements to help out the left flank. A unit of slaves actually anchored the left to allow that so medals to them! His gobbo archers fled before the PP+PF+PM unit and opened up some opportunities, but time was running short. The win came when his General and best unit of Black Orcs failed their leadership test and were run down (~600 pts. together). We only made it to turn 3 but I was ahead on points but only enough for Minor Win. 13-8 -------------------- 8th ed. 3/1/0

Result: Loss Game Size: 1999 Opponent's Army: Dwarves Special Circumstances: Pitched Battle scenario 50-100 Word Summary: This was a brutal game where we both ended up with way less then half our armies left. The assassin worked wonders, killing both the general and BsB. Warp-Lightning cannon rolled a misfire for it's second bounce three times in the game, but proved nasty when it finally landed on the longbeards at S6. At the end I was only down by just over 100 victory points, but in 8th that's enough for a loss Cheers, Dave -------------------- |

Result: Win Game Size: 1500 Opponent's Army: Tomb Kings Special Circumstances: None We started the game as a warm up for a league that starts early next month, i was apprehensive due to the fear effect of the undead, however he is new to warhammer, our force consisted of a warlord on warlitter, a warlock engineer and a cheiftain with bsb, 2 units of cr with ratling guns, 3 units of slaves a doom wheel and a unit of 6 rat ogres. The tk's force had atomb king 2 liche priests2 units of skeleton warriors, a unit of horseman, 1 unit of 10 bowmen and 2 screaming skull catapults. We advanced towards the dead mens line, his cavalry charge and made contact on my right wing, his tomb king with a unit of warriors failed to contact in my centre, one of his s-skull catapults hit the unit with my warlord in it who failed there morale and routed, his cavalry had charged a unit of slaves and killed 10 of them in the magic phase due to their smiting spell, they turned to charge a second slave unit adjacent. T2) My generals unit rallied, we advanced to well within charging distance and the doom wheel charged his cavalry. Both rgs opened fire at the s-sskull that had flattened some rats in my generals unit, but 1 exploded and the other only killed 1 crewman and took a wound off the machine. the rat ogres were in a position to charge thwe other s-skull catapult next turn. we launched the doomrocket and got a direct hit in the second unit of skeleton warriors, killing 16 out of 21 (they had some warp lightning damage as well that turn). the doomwheel slew 7 skeletons by the end of the combat rnd. The undead charged the tomb kings unit into my 3rd unit of slaves, his archers fired at my second cr unit, killing a couple, his magic phase primarily saw him summoning more skeletons to the wounded units, his shooting consisted of both catapults misfiring, the slaves in the centre due to the watchful eye of the underking didnt break from combat with the tomb kings unit (and a snake eyes on the break test). T3) We charged the ro into the leftmost s-skull catapult, and the 2nd unit of slaves charged his liche priest, the cr with the bsb charged his archers, and the slaves continued to fight the warlock fried the other s-skull crew, the battlefield was now looking increasingly skaven dominated, the slaves lost some more to the tomb king but passed their break test, and weslew most of what was left of the tomb kings army. On thier turn they finally dealt with the slaves, and summoned a couple of skeleton warriors. T4) This was the last turn as we ran out of time, but the result was in no doubt we would of taken all of the accolades, as by the end of this turn all that was left of the tomb kings army was the tomb king and about 10 skeletons in the same unit, we had lost just 2 units of slaves and a handful of casualties from a number of units. To sum up it was a really fun game, and although my opponent was inexperienced with the tomb kings i can see that when he learns how to utilise their stregnths they will be a force to be reckoned with!!!
