I got my hands on a spare, second-hand Vermin Lord, and decided to hand it over to my friend to let him convert it up. We've pondered the idea of doing Clan-stylized Vermin Lords, just for the heck of it. So, for this one, he chose Skryre! Just in the greens stage so far, but I thought I would show off his handywork. Doesn't play Skaven, so this was a gift to me. smile.gif

Very nice, the only thing I don't like that much is the mask. It's a bit to much blobby for me. The rest is very cool.

Cheers,

Excellent you've done such a great job on this Skryre deamon you've helped me decide to do Maulder one. Extra arms, whip anything else your highly creative friend suggest? tongue.gif

As the creator of this monstrosity, here's my suggestions on a Moulder-based Vermin Lord:

-Lumpy. Uneven limbs, an oversized Igor-like hump, and swelled muscles all fit in with the general theme of 'successful' experiments.

-Stitches. Think Frankenstein's Monster; one limb longer than the other, or even being replaced by one from a different race entirely. These can very easily be applied to the model via a good black inking pen.

-Distended belly, perhaps filled with some noxious gas (or just too much warpstone!).

-Two or more heads. Just...freaky, overall.

-A scenic base filled with little stranger mutated monsters, like those ratlings from the WD Moulder list. Having them follow this prince of horrible skaven science would look excellent if done right.

-Replace the spear with a giant things-catcher. It fits.

-Bags filled with snacks/warpstone/gubbin's hanging from his belt. Maybe with a skaven tail or two poking out the top.

Thanx MonkeyToho I will definitly bare these suggestions in mind. I am definitly going for extra limbs, possibly a tentacle, and will equip with a 2-handed giant things catcher and a whip (since I will have enough arms). Wasn't certain about the distended belly idea but may make this creation female in essence and have it pregnant and birthing a mutant vermintide to its base. Anyhow its a back burner project as I have 3K of regular troops to paint up before xmas, but its so great an idea and you have inspired me so I will probably be tinkering away in the background. I'll open a separate thread when started rather than clutter this one. Thanx again for inspiration and ideas.

I'm digging the Necron Guass rod on the weapon.

Overall, really really nicely done conversion.

Good work. smile.gif
