Why would it nullify each other as you are BS 5 with a thrown weapon, no move and distance penalties, so we hit on 3s, due to multi-shot, with 6s auto wounding. We are not skinks with blow pipes that rely on hitting on 6s most of the time. What it really does is greatly increase our odds with wounding big things like giants and hydras that we otherwise wound on 4s. Also with the D3 wounds this is what we should be aiming at to begin with. On another note the old warpstone stars had multi-shot but it was based on how many attacks you had on your profile, which was 3 anyways. What happend to them really was that they lost their 10inch range. -------------------- Local Challenge board Record W-L-D 6th ed Skaven 8-3-0 7th ed skaven 6-1-0 13th Spell Times Cast: 8 Kill Counter: 14 Maraders, 38 Saurus warriors, 8 high elf bowmen, 20 Empire Handgunners and 14 Dwarf Handgunners WIP Abomination Thread Skaven in 7th ed: a WIP tactics article By Kariko83 ![]()

Not only that, but it never gives a range. It doesn't say they are throwing stars which have 6" range. It only mentions they are thrown weapons which have no set range.

The range on thrown weapons is 8" as per the BRB as far as I recall.

the only thing common for all thrown weapons is that they don't suffer any penalty for moving or long range.
thrown weapons: javelins-> 8" throwing stars/knives/axes-> 6" thats what the BRB says, except that there are army specific hrown weapons (i.e. we have poisoned wind globes/ death globes/ brass orb-> 8"). the warpstone stars in teh previous edition had a range of 10" wich made them quite nice since you could stay pretty far from the oponent and still shoot him with S5 D3 wounds, if i am going to use them i am going to shoot them from 6" since they are still throwing stars imo, and that kinda sucks. -------------------- It would be ugly to watch people poking sticks at a caged rat. It is uglier still to watch rats poking sticks at a caged person.

The warpstone stars lost strength too, did they not?
But this thing with poisoned attacks, does a poison auto-wound (on a roll of 6 to hit) cause d3 wounds as well? |
